Jennifer Lawrence reflects on body image struggles early in career


Jennifer Lawrence has just lately mirrored on her struggles with frame symbol problems year seeking to build it as a Hollywood superstar.

Talking at Elle’s Girls in Hollywood match in a throwback interview, the Purple Sparrow superstar recalled how film manufacturers would ask her to drop extra pounds in “degrading” means.

“A female producer had me do a nude line-up with about five women who were much, much, thinner than me,” shared Jennifer.

The Pleasure actress seen, “We are stood side-by-side with only tape on covering our privates. After that degrading and humiliating line-up, the female producer told me I should use the naked photos of myself as inspiration for my diet.”

Jennifer remembered she was once requested to paintings in an grownup film which she discovered rather “humiliating and degrading”.

Date speaking about enjoying a task as Katniss in The Starvation Video games, the actress dished, “I was never going to starve myself for a part. I don’t want little girls to be like, ‘Oh, I want to look like Katniss, so I’m going to skip dinner.’”

She advised Elle book, “I was really conscious of during training, when you’re trying to get your body to look exactly right. I was trying to get my body to look fit and strong – not thin and underfed.”

In the meantime, in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Jennifer stated, “I would like us to make a new normal-body type. Everybody says, ‘We love that there is somebody with a normal body!’ And I’m like, ‘I don’t feel like I have a normal body.’”

“I think we’ve gotten so used to underweight that when you are a normal weight it’s like, ‘Oh, my God, she’s curvy.’ Which is crazy. The bare minimum would be to up the ante,” she added.
